Why are people suing the maker of the Depo shot?

Since 1983, studies have linked the Depo Provera injection (also known as medroxyprogesterone) with an increased risk of developing brain tumors called meningiomas. In March 2024, a new study about the link was published by the British Medical Journal, a well-respected journal in the medical field.

After the study was published, Pfizer admitted that it was “aware” of the link between the Depo Provera injection and the risk of developing brain tumors. Now, hundreds of women who were diagnosed with brain tumors after using Depo Provera are suing Pfizer for not warning them about the medical risks associated with getting the shot.

How to qualify for the lawsuit

If you were diagnosed with a meningioma or another type of brain tumor after getting one or more injections of the Depo Provera shot, you may be eligible for a settlement. A loved one may also file for an immediate family member who passed away.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You must have been diagnosed after 1992 to qualify.
